10 Marketing Ideas For Healers, Therapists & Coaches Committed to Wellbeing

One of the most frequent conversations I have with clients is centered around knowing what to do to market their business. Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing! Feel free to copy and paste this list into a document and use apply it to your social media, newsletter, blog, or vlog (and if you do, please share it with me so I can amplify your brilliance!)

  1. Create a series that offers tips and advice on managing or coping with specific issues your clients encounter. This positions you as a source of knowledge and skill in your industry and helps you share your gift with new and existing clients.

  2. Host a free online workshop or webinar that teaches people about a few of the tips you shared in the series from #1. No matter our work, having opportunities to practice our work is key. Free or nearly-free workshops give you the chance to practice and hone your skills.

  3. Brainstorm helpful sayings that you find yourself repeating often to clients (or yourself). This can really support you in acknowledging your own brilliance and wisdom, plus this kind of content is easier for many folks to digest as we consume more and more information.

  4. Write a guidebook, mini-course, blog post, or vlog on a specific topic, such as a ritual for seasonal transitions, and offer it as a free or paid resource to potential clients. Choose the medium that works for you, and have fun. There’s value in giving people a space to understand and explore the work you do at an accessible price point.

  5. Offer a guided meditation, relaxation, or visualization audio that people can download from your website or social media channels. The sound of another’s voice can be both soothing and welcoming. Audio downloads are a lovely way to extend a part of yourself to others.

  6. Share testimonials or success stories from previous clients on your website or social media channels. Be proud of the work you have created, and ways you have supported your clients. Case studies or testimonials are a great way for future clients to understand how you roll. Check out these examples I share about 3 past clients!

  7. Develop a series of online courses or workshops that teach people how to use techniques to use frequently in your practice. Consider a sliding-scale model to make these accessible to diverse audiences. Another way to hone your practice and apply your knowledge, while giving folks the chance to experience your brilliance.

  8. Create a podcast, vlog, or social media video series where you discuss different industry topics and interview fellow experts and colleagues in the field. Collaboration is key for small business owners and entrepreneurs. It allows both of you to gain exposure to one another’s community while helping you to connect with those you admire and trust.

  9. Host a virtual online gathering that focuses on a specific issue or experience such as a new moon gathering or grief ritual. We are better together! Circling up your people is a great way to honour the values of community, connection, space holding, and tending.

  10. Develop an email newsletter that shares tips, resources, and updates about your work. No matter if your list is 90 people who are family or 9,000 a newsletter is a great way to share with folks what you are creating and sharing. Trust that your list will grow over time and begin practicing this important marketing strategy.

Sometimes we think that marketing is just posting on social media or sending out a newsletter, however, there are so many ways to share with folks what you are doing in your business and welcome them into your world. Consider taking these ideas and putting them into a calendar for a season to give you some direction with when and how and what you want to share.
